The Village’s improvements and new structures mark the first major change to the property since its opening in 1985 as one of the country’s first lifestyle centers. The European-style, outdoor center is nestled comfortably among the homes of historic Hyde Park, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Tampa and is a designated national historic district. The Village offers a unique atmosphere -- a park-like setting with oak-lined streets, quaint benches and sparkling fountains. An eclectic collection of unique, locally-owned boutiques, national retailers, fine restaurants and bistros are part of the 275,000 square foot mixed-use specialty retail center. Strategic messaging and ongoing communications with local/community leaders, merchants and the media are at the core of this redevelopment plan.
